Explore, navigate and discover hidden nuggets of Mumbai’s only heritage botanical garden & zoo, that has been welcoming thousands of citizens each day, since 1862!

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the Save Rani Bagh Botanical Garden Foundation and NAGAR are happy and proud to present this unique, free, interactive, path-finder App for public education and enjoyment.

Why this App? The Save Rani Bagh Botanical Garden Foundation and NAGAR had long felt the need for a navigational App to enhance the experience of thousands of Mumbaikars who love this natural green oasis, the island city’s largest green open public space. Seeing this one-of-its-kind App to fruition (with financial support from the Pirojsha Godrej Foundation) has been an exacting labour of love. Both organisatons acknowledge the support of the BMC for coming on board to co-host the App with them. The App’s driving purpose is to encourage citizens to explore and take pride in their very own heritage botanical garden and zoo.

Addressing the challenge of a vast campus dotted with thousands of trees Navigating your way around a 4 km-long network of pathways is no easy task and finding a tree of your choice from over 4,000 trees of 256 species is most certainly a daunting challenge! This App comes to your rescue and acts as your own personal guide, showing the path to the chosen tree, animal enclosure etc. Click on the icons listed to set sail on your personal voyage of discovery or simply go to the Demo video for more clarity.

How does the App work? See lit up on your phone screen the actual path - from your current location to the particular tree, animal enclosure, heritage monument etc. of your choice – all in real time! If due to a weak internet connection, you have some difficulty finding your chosen path, simply move to an open area and reload. What’s more, you can explore the App from the comfort of your home, anywhere in the country – however, your presence on site is required for the navigation.
